No key, no sign-up. Fetch them directly: | File | What it holds | |---|---| | https://goodleads.club/data/sic-naics/sic_1987.csv (.json) | SIC 1987: major groups (2 digits), industry groups (3), industries (4), each with `parent_code` and `name_source` | | https://goodleads.club/data/sic-naics/naics_2017_2022.csv (.json) | NAICS at every level (2 to 6 digits) with `name_2017`, `name_2022` and `edition_status` (`Same`, `Title changed`, `Only in 2017`, `Only in 2022`). The combined sectors are the codes `31-33`, `44-45`, `48-49` | | https://goodleads.club/data/sic-naics/sic_naics_2022_crosswalk.csv (.json) | Every SIC 1987 industry mapped to the NAICS 2022 codes that replaced it. `one_to_one` is `true` when the code stayed a single code through every concordance step | | https://goodleads.club/data/sic-naics/sic_to_naics_2002_census.csv | The Census Bureau's own SIC 1987 to NAICS 2002 concordance, as published | | https://goodleads.club/data/sic-naics/sic_corrections.csv | Every SIC name that differs from OSHA's published list, with OSHA's text beside ours | | https://goodleads.club/data/sic-naics/sic-naics-names.zip | All of the above, with a read-me and a validator script | Codes are text: keep leading zeros (`0111`, `01`). ## How to use it correctly - A SIC code maps to one or more NAICS codes, and the reverse. There is no single right answer for a code that split or merged; `one_to_one = false` pairs are candidates. - Name a code's edition when you quote it ("NAICS 2022 238220", "SIC 1987 1711"). A NAICS code can be renamed, split or retired between editions. - SIC was last revised in 1987. NAICS is revised every five years; a 2027 revision has been proposed and is not final. - To size newly formed businesses in a code, GoodLeads' crosswalk endpoint takes any SIC or NAICS code and returns the equivalents and a live count: `GET https://app.goodleads.club/api/v1/crosswalk?system=sic&code=1711` (see crosswalk.llms.txt). ## Provenance SIC names: the 1987 Standard Industrial Classification Manual (OMB), checked against OSHA's list; names OSHA's list cuts off mid-phrase are restored from the manual. NAICS names: Census Bureau code files for 2017 and 2022. Crosswalk: Census Bureau concordances chained forward. Updated: 2026-10-08.
